Magaly’s first contact with the immigration field took place when she served as the Peruvian Delegate before the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations Refugee Agency in Geneva, Switzerland. Her diplomatic career exposed her to high-level policy meetings and dialogues on migration and humanitarian issues informed by people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds. Her education includes a Bachelors in Law and Professional Title of Attorney from the Universidad de Lima and a Masters in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Academia Diplomática del Perú Javier Pérez de Cuéllar.
Magaly decided to pursue immigration law as a second career here in the US. While an intern during her legal education at the University of Akron School of Law, she was able to see up-close the real needs of refugees and immigrants who were resettling in Northeast Ohio.
She loves her career because it enables her to assist and give hope to individuals and their families now in the Oklahoma City area as they pursue the family-based options available to them.
Magaly is admitted to practice by the State of Ohio only and authorized to practice in every state and US Territory before the the US Department of State, US Department of Homeland Security including US Citizenship Immigration Services, Immigration Custom Enforcement, and Customs and Border Protection.
